Nia is of medium height, with a slim athletic build and dark skin common to the ‘hillfolk’ of the jungle near Cauldron. Her hair is black and straight, generally cut short for wearing with various headdresses appropriate to her position as an apprentice ‘shaman.’ Her eyes are out of place though, with a bright blue coloration that is all but unheard of to the tribesmen. Occasionally she wears an improvised veil of woven grass dangling from a band that fits around her eyebrows. Her normal clothing is a halter of hide or woven reeds, and a simple loincloth and belt. She wears leather bracers on her forarms, one of which has a thin knife tucked inside it. When away from her village she carries a spear with a tarnished steel tip, and three javelins in a quick-untying bundle slung around her back. Beyond that, she often carries an assortment of fetishes, little ceramic jars, skulls, and other occult decorations with her…many of them serve as material components for her spells.
